The question above was asked by a friend of mine. We were talking about cosmetics during our lunch few days ago and she started questioning me with some make up application related stuff. The question above was one of her questions which I think I should share my thoughts with 🙂
Personally, I use different kind of brushes to achieve the look I want. Sometimes I would play around with more than 2 or 3 colors.. Sometimes when I am in a rush or a bit lazy, I would just put one shadow all over my eyelid. I do have several eye brushes but she specifically asked for which basic eye brush she MUST have in order to achieve decent eyeshadow application..
I was thinking, and recalling different brushes that I have (mind you she said she only wants TWO brushes). So these are two brushes that I thought she should have 🙂
The left one is a small/medium eyeshadow brush from Beautilicious. It is pretty cheap, retailing at RM15.90 (if I was not mistaken). Do look out when Watsons is having a sale, as I got mine for only RM10 hehe :D. It works well for me and in fact this is one of brushes that I use everytime I apply my eyeshadow. Its dome shape allows precision and it packs color really good as well. As my friend wants a multi purpose brush, this brush can also be used to put on shadow on outer V of your eyelid and your crease as well. Nevertheless, it will take some time for crease color application. Anyway, it still can be done as I did it too few months ago when I did not have various brushes 😛
The one on the right is a fluffy blending brush from Elianto. Again, it is pretty cheap. It should retail at RM10 (I can’t really remember, I’ve bought this brush long time ago). Despite being cheap, the quality is good. The bristles are soft. As for its multi purpose property, you can use this brush for blending (duh no surprise) as well as applying your highlight color.
So, what do you think? 😀
