Phew I finally am be able to write this! Here you go..
What it claims: A concealer stick that cover spots, freckles and dark circles to create a beautiful, even-toned complexion
Again, I managed to get my hands on this concealer through a swap. Yipee. Excuse me, I can’t afford a concealer with such a price. My knees go weak when I checked out the price :(. Besides, I want to give this concealer a try first.. Hey, you wouldn’t want to blow almost RM200 for something which doesn’t work for you rite? 😀 Cle de Peau is apparently owned by Shiseido, but for the love of candies, look at the prize!!
Cle de Peau concealer comes in a stick dark blue tube. The one I have is in Ivory.. Even though the picture that I got up there is supposed to be the image of Cle de Peau concealer in Ivory, I find that in real life, the concealer looks lighter than that.
The concealer turns out to be pretty creamy when I glided it on my undereye area. It is also not sticky, which is a good point. I don’t really like creamy and sticky concealer (read: Shu Uemura Pro concealer), it makes it harder to blend. I usually apply concealer on my undereye area either by dabbing it with my finger or using a concealer/foundation brush, depending on the texture of the concealer itself. My first try applying this concealer was by using foundation brush. The result turned out to be pretty crappy because it hardly covered my dark circles, as if I didn’t apply any concealer on it :(. Again, I tried to dab it with my finger the following day, and it worked!
When I patted the concealer on my undereye area, I seriously just needed to pat it. No rubbing or whatsoever, it blended in right away. Even a thin layer of this concealer was able to cover my horrible dark circle, so I guess this concealer will last for quite a while.
Upon application, I noticed that the concealer doesn’t sink in to my fine lines (yes people, I do have fine lines under my eyes) so big yay for that too. It will not expose what should not be exposed :P. To me, the formula is a little drying although it doesn’t flake off. I always put on eye cream and moisturizer prior to applying makeup, so it is indeed the concealer’s formula.
I did say that a thin layer of the concealer is enough, however I went a little overboard that day and ended up applying more concealer 😛 Surprisingly, it did not feel cakey at all. Most concealers will start creasing and feel cakey when you apply in excess, yet Cle de Peau simply doesn’t.
I would like to add something here.. The concealer does a good job in concealing my dark circles, it helps my undereye areas look brighter, yet it doesn’t totally conceal them. Erm I hope you get what I mean.. Besides, I am comfortable with my flaws showing up.. It’d look very unnatural if I tried to conceal my dark circles completely. 😉
On the following pictures, you can see my horrible dark circles before and after applying Cle de Peau concealer.

Considering the performance, would I purchase it when I finish the concealer? Yes, if I still can’t find a good concealer that can do a good job as what Cle de Peau did 😉
Plus: excellent performance in concealing dark circles, blends in easily, doesn’t sink into fine lines
Minus: a little drying, expensive
